Dear Virginia Beach Neighbor,
I'm proud to call Virginia Beach my home. It is where I grew up, attended high school (Green Run) and where I decided to raise my family with my wife Cathy - a graduate of Kempsville High School.
These are tough times for many of us, something I understand very well. I grew up in Virginia Beach in a working-class family where my mother often purchased our clothes from thrift-stores, and my father told me that if I wanted any money, I had to earn it myself -- which I did by mowing lawns, bagging groceries at the Navy commissary, and any other odd-job I could find.
